Antique Tractor Show
The farming community of Hadley
celebrated the 350th Anniversary by hosting an Antique
Tractor Show at The Long Hollow Bison Farm on Sunday, May the 24th.
The event featured over 120 of the best restored, original and new
tractors exhibited for the estimated 4500 hundred people of all ages
who came out to support & celebrate the event. The event
featured tractors from the local fields, barns & farms of Hadley,
Hatfield, and Williamsburg to as far away as Maine & Pennsylvania.
The tractors were “judged” by local celebrities & dignitaries to
include the selectman of Hadley, Larry McDermott, publisher of the
Springfield Republican, Coach Derek Kellogg, UMASS Basketball Coach,
Dr. Fred Hess, Veterinarian, but to name a few. The Oldest &
Rarest Tractor was a 1925 Rumely Oil Pull owned by Bacon’s
Equipment, Williamsburg MA.
